  • The public are advised to time their arrival at the venue at least half an hour before the auction to secure appropriate parking at the stadium and access to the auction room. See direction map (Hyperlink).
  • The auction will take placin the English Partnership Banqueting Suite, access is via the main foyer of the Riverside stand.
  • Light refreshment can be purchased at the bar adjacent to the auction room.
  • The auction will commence promptly at 7.00pm and will be conducted in lot order. To estimate the timing for a particular lot allow approximately 3 minutes per lot, therefore Lot 10 should be open to bidding at approximately 7.30pm.
  • The auctioneers will not be able to answer questions from the rostrum once the auction has commenced. All queries to be addressed to the appropriate Auctioneer’s office before 4.00pm on the auction day and between 6.00 – 7.00pm at the auction venue.
  • A copy of the contract and supporting legal pack including HIP (where applicable) will be available for inspection, from the appropriate office, 7 days prior to the auction for each lot. Copies may be available for collection, post or fax at a cost of £30 + VAT = £35.25 (payable in advance).
  • The public are invited to register with the Auctioneers upon arrival; a numbered “Bidding Card” will then be issued. Bidders are obliged to show this clearly to the Auctioneers and appropriate staff upon request. Registration facilities will be available from 6.00pm.
  • Please remember; this is a property auction, the purchaser will be the highest bidder; subject to any reserve price set by the vendor. The fall of the hammer represents exchange of contract. The successful purchaser will be approached by a member of the Auctioneer’s staff to supply; name, address and details of their solicitor or legal representative. The successful purchaser will be required to pay a 10% deposit of the realized bid price and sign the contract prior to leaving the venue. Cash deposits will not be accepted. Cheques should be made payable to the vendor’s solicitor, however, if this is not known, the cheque should be made payable to Boultons Harrisons Ltd
  • Completion will take place 28 days from the auction date, unless alternative arrangements have been made with the Auctioneers prior to the auction.
  • Keys for vacant properties will not be released prior to the auction or until completion has taken place.
  • Most lots are subject to “block viewings”. Additional accompanied viewings may be arranged upon request.
  • Purchasers are advised to insure the property at the earliest opportunity following exchange of contracts. Vendors are also advised to retain the buildings insurance, until after completion has taken place.
  • Each property will be shown by a Power Point presentation on a large screen in lot order. Illustrated catalogues should also be available at the auction. An addendum may have been prepared itemizing any additional information which may have come to the Auctioneer’s attention after the catalogue has been printed.
  • It is against the law to smoke in public buildings. Mobile phones should also be turned off during the auction.
  • Successful bidders will be required to pay an Auctioneer’s Administration Charge of £250 (inc VAT) for each lot purchased – Cheques payable to Boultons Harrisons Ltd.

The Money Laundering Regulations Order

Individuals – Successful bidders are required to provide Boultons Harrisons Limited with proof of identify and proof of current residential address by producing the following documents prior to signing the contract at the auction:
  • A photographic ID, such as a current passport or new style UK driving licence


  • A utility bill, bank or building society statement, or credit card bill issued within the previous three months, providing evidence of residency at the corresponding address

Companies – If the bidder is acting on behalf of a limited company, the bidder will be required to provide personal proof of name and address, and in addition:

  • Copy of the company certificate of incorporation
  • Written authority from the company that the bidder has authority to represent and purchase on behalf of the company at the auction.

Photocopies of documentation may be taken as part of the auction process.
